Notes & Combos

Season B1 introduced Mega Pokémon, and gave us a whole month to familiarize with them before throwing us into Ranked Mode. Because of that, it makes sense that the meta would adapt to such powerful cards by going back to an old favorite, Corio. Double Corio makes life a nightmare for Mega players. The deck is also very strong against the only non-Mega top tier deck, the now classic Suicune-Greninja, made even worse by adding another ex to the deck (Greninja ex).

The difference between my deck and the most popular version of it is a Guzma over Chingling. Chingling is obviously a very good baby Pokemon, but the prevalence of basic Absol and Heatmor, who can easily one-shot them on the bench, makes the free points not worth it for me. Guzma, on the other hand, has become a quite unusual option in the last few seasons, so it catches opponents by surprise and snatches some crucial kills.
